If you are the parent of an eighth graders who plans on continuing band at the high school level, then here is some info you may need!
There is a social coming up at Mediterranean Breeze in Herndon where you can meet other parents and get your questions answered! It starts at 6:00pm.

Our final performance of the year is less than two weeks away! The students have persevered through another challenging year and are ready to show what they have learned one more time. Attached is the concert acknowledgment for the Tuesday, May 24th band concert. Concert begins at 7 pm and is free and open to the public. Students should report to their warm-up locations between 6 and 6:15.
Concert Band (periods 1, 2, and 6) and Cadet Band (period 7) will have after school rehearsals on the next two Mondays (May 16th and 23rd) leading up to the performance.
We will also hold a HMS Band Parent Association meeting on Thursday, May 26th at 7:00 PM in the middle school band room. We will provide a virtual option as well. We will discuss next year’s goals and elect new officers for vacant positions. More information and agenda for the meeting will be coming. Please plan to attend, especially if your child is a rising 8th grader. We need all the help we can get for next year!

Hello HMS Showcase volunteers,
You made a difference Saturday, no doubt about it!! We can't tell you how thankful we are that you kept the water stations running smoothly and we are so glad to have you on the Pride of Herndon Showcase team!!
Before we close this year's showcase, it would help us tremendously to learn from your perspective what we can do to make improve Middle School Showcase experience and water stations run even better. For example:
Water Stations
1. What would make the running of the water stations more efficient?
2. Was there anything we forgot to plan for or didn’t work as planned?
3. What could/should we have done differently?
Communication
1. Did you have enough time to inform about this event?
2. Did you have the right material and information to "sell in" this event with students and families?
2. Was there any information you did not have, which would have been helpful?
Could you please share your answers with Monica Saunders [email protected] and Anna Marie Jones [email protected] so they can consolidate the information?

The Herndon High School “PRIDE OF HERNDON” marching band will be hosting their annual Band Showcase on Saturday, September 25,2001 and they need our help!
HMS band students and parents are in change of manning the 3 water stations throughout the event. Please check your schedule and sign up for a slot (or 2!).
**Students WILL get volunteer hours for the event.**
The Pride of Herndon will perform last (~8:00pm) and our duties will be completed by then so we can go and watch their performance.
