Bridge Academy | Session 5: Communication on the Same Frequency
Communication is at the heart of every successful organization, and our Bridge Academy students experienced that firsthand during Session 5 at the Memphis International Airport Mission Support Center.
Students had the opportunity to:
Tour the Mission Support Center and airport operations
Hear from airport leadership about the importance of effective communication in aviation
Learn about careers that keep one of the world's busiest cargo airports operating safely and efficiently
Explore the teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills required in the aviation industry
Connect classroom learning to real-world career opportunities through hands-on experiences
At DeSoto County School District, we believe that exposing students to high-demand industries and connecting them with professionals is one of the most effective ways to prepare them for future success. Experiences like Bridge Academy help students build confidence, expand their career awareness, and develop the communication skills that are essential in every profession.
