mposium in Tokyo then traveled through South Korea speaking about plastics to groups and schools children of various ages. This six week expedition included various kinds of research and documentation into the accumulation of plastics in this region, and compared data collected by Algalita Marine Research Institute in 1999. Expedition # 3 : Expanding the Mariana Trench Perspective. Leaving from Guam on Schmidt Ocean Institute R/V Falkor with scientists from Scripps and around the world to explore the deepest ecosystems in the world.
