🎓✨ Mis Amigos Student Spotlight: Gabrielle Montalto ✨🎓

Congratulations to Gabrielle Montalto on graduating Summa Cum Laude from Mira Costa High School! It has been a joy to be part of Gabrielle’s Spanish journey over the years and to watch her excel in academics, leadership, music, and community service.

This fall, Gabrielle will attend High Point University to study the sciences and will also have the opportunity to study abroad in Spain. 🇪🇸

We are so proud of you, Gabrielle, and can’t wait to see what comes next. ¡Felicidades!

fun fact… it’s not Mexico’s Independence Day . It actually celebrates the Battle of Puebla, when a smaller Mexican army defeated the French—such an amazing story of strength and resilience

Mis Amigos Spotlight is Carson Stone. I worked with Carson off and on during his high school years at MiraCosta, and he has done such amazing things. He balanced being on the MiraCosta surf team, sponsored by surf companies, while also working as a Huntington State Lifeguard for three years. He also spent time at LA Fire Station 64 in Compton supporting the community.

He is off to San Diego State University, which is no small accomplishment considering their acceptance rate for California students is around the high 30% range, making it a very competitive school. He will be studying sociology. We are above and beyond proud of Carson and can’t wait for his future accomplishments. Muy buen trabajo, Carson.
