Building Blocks Child Center Offering STAR 4, quality-rated Preschool & childcare located within Grace Chapel Community Church in Hermitage, PA.

Less than 4% of Child Care Centers in Pennsylvania reach the Stars 4 Level that Building Blocks has achieved for the last decade! Located within Grace Chapel Community Church, we have 3 Pre-schools, provide all day childcare & before/after school age care.

Our Preschool implements the Kaplan Learn Every Day Preschool Curriculum which is approved by The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL). All classrooms offer “hands-on” learning experiences appropriate to each age group and focus on meeting individual child care and Preschool needs--INCLUDING the care and supervision you need before and after school hours. Our learning environments will foster discovery and laughter while providing individual attention for your child to become a lifelong learner. Building Blocks has achieved the highest possible rating of a STAR 4! One reason we participate in the Keystone Stars Program is that it helps keep our standards high. Less than 4% of Child Care Centers in Pennsylvania reach the Stars 4 Level that Building Blocks has achieved. Keystone STARS rates child care programs from one to four STARS on things you care about. Programs meet state regulations for safety, and offer a kid-friendly atmosphere with quality teachers that partner with you to help your child learn. Child care and Head Start programs within Keystone STARS earn a STAR 1 to STAR 4 rating based on quality standards that measure:

Staff education: Early childhood teachers have the education, training, and knowledge for working with young children. Classroom/Learning environment: The program has a variety of materials and activities for each age level that makes it possible for children to learn something new every day! Including families and the community: Families and community members are encouraged to become a part of the child’s learning progress. Leadership and management: A quality program has to have sound business practices to ensure your child’s safety and early learning.

👑 Meet Victoria, the tiniest queen with the BIGGEST purr! 👑

At just 4 months old, this sweet, spayed little lady has completely taken over her foster home — and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. 💕 Victoria LOVES a good snuggle and will happily flop onto her back in your arms for all the pets. Once you start, prepare yourself for a nonstop purr machine! 🥹💗

Victoria does well with both small dogs and other cats. She may be a little reserved when she first meets you, but give her a little time to feel comfortable and you’ll discover the absolute best girl. Once she trusts you, she’ll be ready to rule your heart (and probably your couch). 👑🐾

Victoria is ready to trade her foster throne for a forever home. Could you be the lucky human she chooses? 💕

🐾 Rusty is looking for his forever retirement home. ❤️

At 10 years old, Rusty has spent his entire life knowing what it means to be loved. He was surrendered by the family who had him since he was just a kitten, and while saying goodbye was heartbreaking, Rusty has handled the transition like the absolute sweetheart he is. 🥹

He has settled beautifully into his foster home and he LOVES his foster family! 💜🐱

Rusty is one seriously social dude. 😻 He loves being around people, soaking up attention, and simply being part of the family.

And his social skills don’t stop there! Rusty gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs when introduced properly. Once he’s comfortable, he barely even notices they’re around. He’s just happy to be part of the crew. 🐶🐱

Rusty does have some medical needs, but they’re very manageable. He was diagnosed with IBD a little over 9 months ago and takes one daily pill and eats a special diet. He does wonderfully with his routine and isn’t letting it slow him down one bit! ❤️

What Rusty needs now is someone who will give him the peaceful, loving retirement he deserves a family who will cherish him, continue his care, and let him spend his golden years surrounded by love.
