We're excited to share more details about the Columbia River Mini-Conference, coming up this November in Hermiston, Oregon! We're looking forward to connecting with interpreters from the Columbia Gorge and Tri-Cities areas.

We'll have 8 hours of continuing education, applicable toward credential renewal with Oregon Health Authority, IMIA - International Medical Interpreters Association, and Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters - CCHI.

For current students in our Ontario cohort and graduates in the region, we wanted to share that Malheur County Extension - Oregon State University is distributing N95 masks. Feel free to take advantage of this resource or share with others. Stay safe this wildfire season.

🔥 Wildfire season is here, and smoke may become a concern for many Malheur County residents.

As of May 19, 63% of Malheur County was experiencing moderate to severe drought conditions, with conditions worsening over the previous 30 days. With an increased risk of wildfire smoke this season, the OSU Extension Service in Malheur County is offering FREE N95 masks to community members while supplies last.

N95 masks can help reduce exposure to harmful smoke particles and support healthier breathing during smoky conditions.
