Big News for Eastern Oregon University!

We are thrilled to announce that EOU's online Master of Social Work (MSW) program has officially achieved Candidacy Status from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Board of Accreditation!

This major milestone marks our commitment to providing high-quality social work education that prepares graduates to support individuals, families, and communities across Oregon and beyond. Developed to address critical workforce shortages in behavioral health, healthcare, and schools, this program is designed to strengthen social services specifically in rural and underserved areas.

"This achievement reflects years of dedication and collaboration among faculty, staff, university leadership, and community partners," says MSW Program Director, Christine Saladino.

Admitted and enrolled EOU students who did not apply during the winter cycle can submit an application through the Scholarship App tile in the my.EOU portal.

Already applied during the winter cycle? You do not need to re-apply. Your application will still be considered.

EOU has named Mohtarama “Mary” Qazizada the 2026 President’s Scholar, recognizing her outstanding academic achievement.

After arriving in the U.S., Mary transformed uncertainty into success, earning a 3.9 GPA as a double major in mathematics and computer science, publishing research, and mentoring fellow students.
