Coming soon--a new season of ALTV! We have updated the ALTV website, including last year's highlights. Checkout the recently updated Season 15 page and the earlier years to see how ALTV has evolved into a nationally recognized student-produced program.

Season 16 begins at 8:30 AM, Wednesday, Aug. 26 with the live morning announcements. We look forward to another great year!

Season 15 Highlights In October, ALTV televised its first middle school soccer game. In November, two student entries were awarded 1st and 3rd place in the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) Broadcast Story contest. In December, ALTV received Honorable Mention in the STN

Each year, the Journalism Education Association (JEA) holds its annual Junior High/Middle School National Media Contest. 315 students participated in a variety of categories, including broadcasting. Winning entries are rated as Superior, Excellent, or Honorable Mention. Both entries from Armand Larive Middle School placed in this contest.

EXCELLENT
Kyle Quincena, Emily Ramirez-Garcia, and Jaxson Robledo for their story on the Hermiston Humane Society (Part 1).

HONORABLE MENTION
Ximena Carrillo-Ramirez, Aryanna Moreno, Lizbeth Sanchez Orozco, and Alexa Mejia Gutierrez for their story about a nail salon.

Both of these stories were shown on ALTV’s last monthly show. We’re proud of all of these students for their success in this national media contest.

Cada año, la Asociación para la Educación Periodística (JEA) organiza su Concurso Nacional de Medios de Comunicación para escuelas secundarias. 315 estudiantes participaron en diversas categorías, incluida la de radiodifusión. We are excited to announce an upcoming Boys Volleyball Camp for 7th and 8th-grade students! If you are interested in learning the game, improving your skills, and having a great time on the court, we want to see you there.

Eligibility Requirement:

To participate in this camp, you must have played at least one middle school sport during the current school year.

Camp Schedule:

The camp will consist of four sessions held after school until 5:00 PM on the following dates:

Tuesday, May 19

Thursday, May 21

Tuesday, May 26

Thursday, May 28

Please note: All participants must arrange their own transportation home promptly at 5:00 PM.
