Karate Boot Camp starts next week!
TMAA of Hermiston is offering a 6 week beginning karate and self defense program for kids ages 7 and up. By the end of the program kids will have a basic knowledge of simple karate techniques and self defense designed for kids. There is no long term commitment. After graduating from Boot Camp, they will have the choice to continue on in our Advanced White Belt program, but there is no obligation.
The cost is $160 for 6 weeks of classes, which includes 12 classes and a free gi (uniform.) Classes begin August 4th. We also have options for adults! Call or text us at (509)308-1450, or email us at [email protected] for more information and to sign your child up.

KARATE BOOT CAMP

The entire team is now in Florida (except for Regan's mom, who will join us on Wednesday) and we made it to Ft Lauderdale this afternoon. We took a fun river cruise this evening that took us past multi million dollar homes and yachts and had a nice dinner on a private island, with a great Polynesian show after. It was a fun way to spend an evening before the chaos of Nationals begins.
We sign in and make sure everything is ready to go tomorrow, Tuesday we have seminars, and the competition starts on Wednesday! We are excited to compete in an arena none of us has ever experienced.
Thank you, again for all your support. We will keep you updated as the week goes on.

We made it to Florida!
We have traveled through 12 states, stopping along the way to visit family & friends and do some sightseeing. The only mishap was on Monday morning when the keys got locked in the van, but thanks to AAA we only lost an hour. We have visited the Gateway Arch in St Louis, watched a practice in the Savannah Bananas' stadium in Savannah Georgia, and discovered that Buc-ee's is an awesome place for a pit stop.
Thank you to Sensei Justin and Sensei Joy for holding down the fort while we are gone. You guys rock! Thank you also to our TMAA family. This trip would not have been possible without your support. We are excited to represent our school here in Florida next week at Nationals! We will make sure to post updates as the tournament progresses.

Sensei Sam, Sensei Nicole, Dom and Sensei Sam's husband David are on the road to Florida! Colton, Regan and Regan's mom will fly out next week and the tournament starts on the 29th.
Our team wants to say thank you for all the support you have given us. Everyone has been very generous and so encouraging. We could not have done this without you all! We promise to represent our school well.

We would like to say congratulations to Sensei Keaton and Sensei Justin for earning the rank of Nidan (second degree black belt) on Friday night. We are very proud of them and wish them both well as they head off to college and the military at the end of the summer. They have both been part of our TMAA family for several years and their absence will definitely be felt, but we know they will take what they have learned here with them and continue to grow.
Congratulations, guys! You rock!
