The students are learning the many different symbols that represent Jesus Christ by reading and hanging ornaments on the Christmas tree!

We are reading the book called The Sparkle Box for worship. It's a story of a little box filled with notes that are gifts to Jesus. In the gospels, Jesus says when you've done it to one of the least of these my brother then you've done it to me.
The idea is to write down little notes about things you've done to help other people and put it in the box. By Christmas, we will have a sparkle box full of things that we've done to make Jesus look good to others. We decided this morning that we would like to do one of the ideas in the book as a class. The idea is to create a mitten and sock tree. So we will have a tree at school that we can hang with new or gently used mittens and socks that we will donate to the local homeless at Christmas. If you would like to help us with this project please drop off your donation by the school office.
