Beginning this fall, Hermantown High School will offer two new hybrid Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses in partnership with Dunwoody College of Technology: Fundamentals of DC Circuits and Early Global Architecture.
Students enrolled in Fundamentals of DC Circuits will use virtual reality vision goggles to complete portions of the lab experience, allowing them to engage in hands-on technical learning through emerging technology. Both courses offer students the opportunity to earn dual credit through Dunwoody while also receiving high school credit.
Families with juniors or seniors are encouraged to discuss these new course options with their students as they begin planning for next year. These additions reflect our continued commitment to expanding relevant, future-focused learning opportunities that prepare students for both college and career pathways.

Today we proudly celebrated our amazing military-connected students as part of Purple Up Day! 💜
More than 100 students—from Pre-K through 12th grade—came together in the middle school gym to connect, laugh, and have fun with others who share a unique and powerful bond. From Keepy Uppy with balloons to Fishy Fishy and parachute games, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
The celebration wrapped up with a delicious doughnut treat, generously provided by Miller Hill Super One Foods —thank you for helping make the day extra special!
We are incredibly grateful for our military students and the strength, resilience, and sacrifice they show every day. Today—and every day—we honor YOU! 💜
