On behalf of Discovery Child Care Learning Center, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous $3000 grant. Your support is helping us bring meaningful tools into our classrooms-iPads for developmental screenings using the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ), and the Second Step program to support children in understanding and managing their emotions.
These resources will make a lasting impact on the children and families we serve, and we’re deeply grateful for your investment in their growth and well-being.

This is so true!

Sometimes, I feel like Eeyore, carrying my own clouds. But these kids? They make you forget all your worries and just laugh. The best part is when I give them little pep talks, and later, I hear them share those same words with their friends. It hits me how much they’re really listening and learning. And those little big hugs throughout the day?

They’re everything.💛

The Community Foundation is proud to announce the successful implementation of our grant awarded to Discovery Child Care Learning Center last year. The grant funds were used to procure four stroller wagons, which have significantly enriched the daily experiences of the toddlers and infants at the center. With these stroller wagons, the young children now enjoy regular walks around the community, offering numerous benefits:
◾️Outdoor Exposure: The children benefit from fresh air and sunlight, essential for their physical health and well-being.
◾️Sensory Exploration: These community outings stimulate the children’s senses through the various sights, sounds, and smells of the environment.
◾️Cognitive Development: Observing and interacting with the world around them supports the children’s cognitive growth as they encounter and learn about new objects and settings.
◾️Social Interaction: The walks provide opportunities for social engagement among the children and with community members, fostering essential social skills and a sense of community belonging.
We are delighted to see the positive impact this grant has had on the children’s daily activities and development at Discovery Child Care Learning Center. The Community Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that enhance the well-being and growth of our community’s youngest members.
