Hereford ISD is excited to announce that beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, Hereford Junior High and Hereford Preparatory Academy will be consolidated into one campus serving all 6th through 8th grade students.

We are also excited to announce that HPA Principal, D'Ann Blair, will serve as principal of the combined campus. We are confident in the leadership, vision, and experience she will bring as we move forward in creating a cohesive and successful learning environment for our junior high students.

We look forward to this new direction and the many opportunities it will provide for our students, staff, and families as we continue working together to build a strong future for Hereford ISD.

Due to this calendar change, HPA awards are being rescheduled to May 19th at 10:30 am. If your child is receiving an award, you will have a message sent to you tomorrow. 

Due to a lack of substitute teachers as our students travel across the state to compete in several outstanding events and competitions, Hereford ISD will not have school for all students and staff on Thursday, May 14. Friday, May 15th is a scheduled holiday and there will be no school on that day as well.

We are incredibly proud of the many students representing Hereford ISD across the state and wish them the best of luck as they showcase their hard work and talents. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our students and staff.
