Bus Update

We want to provide you with a brief update regarding the bus fire from yesterday. After the bus was moved to our bus yard last evening, it unfortunately rekindled this morning and caught fire again.

The fire department responded promptly and has extinguished the fire. Fire personnel are now inspecting the bus and surrounding area closely to ensure that there is no remaining heat or smoldering material.

The fire department has advised us that it is safe to have a normal school day at Palominas Elementary School. The safety of our students, staff, and facilities remains our highest priority.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with the fire department to ensure the situation is fully resolved.

🔒 Calling all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! Ready to build elite tech skills, crack codes, and master cybersecurity? 💻✨

The 2026-2027 Palominas ESD #49 CyberPatriot District Team is officially recruiting! Whether you are a Coronado Lobo or a Palominas Pinto, we want you on the team.

Here is what you need to know:
📅 Practice Schedule:
Wednesdays & Thursdays until 5:00 PM.
Held at Palominas Elementary.
Coronado Students: You will be bused directly to Palominas for practice!

🚌 Dismissal:
5:00 PM sharp.
Parents can pick up out front, or students can take the Activity Bus.

🏆 Competitions:
Held on Fridays or Saturdays.
Locations: Palominas Elementary and/or Cochise College in Sierra Vista.

⚠️ Important Rules:
Continuous academic eligibility is required.
Bring your own snacks (no sharing, per food guidelines).
No personal electronic devices allowed during practice.
All regular school policies apply.

📝 How to Join:
Fill out the interest form and return it to Mr. Turner at Palominas by Thursday, August 13th!

A quick reminder to parents - girls volleyball tryouts start this week. THERE IS NO AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITY BUS AFTER TRYOUTS. YOU WILL NEED TO PICK YOUR PLAYER UP FROM THE PALOMINAS GYM. Good luck to all the players trying out.

We have learned this is only for students enrolled in Sierra Vista Public Schools. This will work for your Buena High School Students. We will share when we are able to get free physicals for our students.

Free Sports Physicals for middle school and high school athletes!!

Get your physical for all sports and the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

July 30th (Thursday) and 31st (Friday) at Buena High School.
