Our first two days of the 2026-27 school year are in the books, and we had a GREAT start!

It was so good to have our students back in the building, see our classrooms full again, and get back into the swing of things. We’ve also welcomed many new faces to Wilson this year, and we’re excited to have them as part of our school!

Now we’re ready for our first full week, and there’s already a lot happening.

Our FFA chapter has started the year with a HUGE accomplishment, being named a National 3-Star Gold Emblem Chapter! Our athletes are putting in the work and getting ready for their upcoming seasons, our classrooms are getting busy, and things around Wilson are picking up quickly.

We have so much to look forward to this year. Friday nights, competitions, activities, new opportunities, big accomplishments, fun days, and plenty of memories that haven’t even been made yet.

We’re excited about our students, we’re proud of our staff, and we can’t wait to see what this year brings.

It’s a great time to be a Wilson Tiger!

Wilson-Henryetta FFA has been named a 2026–27 NATIONAL 3-STAR GOLD EMBLEM CHAPTER!

This incredible national recognition represents countless hours of hard work, leadership, service, teamwork, and dedication from our members throughout the year. From the classroom and livestock projects to Career Development Events, community service, agricultural literacy, leadership activities, and everything in between, our members continue to Grow Leaders, Build Communities, and Strengthen Agriculture.

This achievement would not be possible without the support of our students, families, school, alumni, agricultural partners, and community supporters. Every helping hand, encouraging word, donated resource, and hour of volunteer time has played a part in making this accomplishment possible.

Most importantly, this recognition belongs to our members. Their willingness to lead, serve, learn, and step outside their comfort zones is what makes Wilson-Henryetta FFA so special.

We are incredibly proud of our members and everyone who has supported them along the way.

To help improve safety and reduce congestion during arrival and dismissal, we have updated our drop-off and pick-up procedures for the 2026-2027 school year.

Please take a few moments to review the new traffic map and guidelines before bringing your student to school. Some procedures have changed, including the direction of the car line and designated drop-off locations by grade level.

Your patience and cooperation will help us keep students, staff, and families safe while making traffic flow more efficiently.

Thank you for helping us make arrival and dismissal as safe as possible.

Wilson Public School mourns the passing of retired teacher Patsy Manns, whose 23 years of dedicated service, along with an additional year serving our students part-time after retirement, left a lasting impact on our school and community.

Mrs. Manns devoted her career to educating, encouraging, and caring for generations of Wilson students. Her commitment to our school, her passion for teaching, and the relationships she built throughout the years will not be forgotten. We are deeply grateful for the difference she made in the lives of so many and for the legacy she leaves behind.

To allow our staff and students the opportunity to attend Mrs. Manns’ funeral and honor her memory, Friday, August 7th will be a Professional Development Day, and students will not attend school.

This instructional day will be made up on Friday, December 18th.

We appreciate your understanding as our Wilson family comes together to celebrate Mrs.Manns’ life and honor her many years of faithful service. Please keep the Manns family, her friends, former students, and all who knew and loved her in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
