We are excited to welcome Jayde Hicks to the Varina High School Admin team! Ms. Hicks brings more than a decade of dedicated service and leadership in education to her new role as Administrative Intern at Varina High School. She spent eight years as a Spanish teacher, where she fostered student achievement, built strong relationships with students and families, and created engaging learning experiences that promoted both academic and personal growth.

For the past three years, Jayde has served as an Administrative Aide, supporting school operations, collaborating with staff, and helping ensure a positive and productive learning environment. Her experience in both the classroom and school leadership has provided her with a well-rounded understanding of student needs and school culture.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Jayde has actively contributed to student life as the Student Council Association (SCA) Sponsor, empowering students to develop leadership skills and strengthen school involvement. She has also served as an assistant to the Director of Student Activities, supporting athletic programs, coordinating events, and helping foster school spirit throughout the school community.

As Administrative Intern, Jayde looks forward to continuing to serve the Varina High School community, supporting students and staff, and growing as an educational leader. Her passion for education, commitment to student success, and dedication to building meaningful relationships make her a valuable member of the school’s leadership team.
