We also offer Caregiver Basic Training, great for those desiring to become a Companion. It's also a great class for those who are now faced with taking care of a loved one and desire caregiver basic training. CPR/ AED/ First Aid classes are offered through our American Red Cross certified instructors. We offer courses for the lay person, as well as, the healthcare provider (BLS and CPR-Pro). Dominion Health Education Center provides students with the tools necessary to reach their educational and career goals. Our programs are designed to accommodate the working student by offering convenient schedules so that pursuing their goals are manageable and enjoyable. Our Nurse Consultants are RNs who have worked as Directors of Nursing in Assisted Living Facilities or Long Term Care Facilities. They work with Assisted Living Administrators and their staff to assist with "survey preparedness" , staff development , chart and medication audits, as well as, a variety of educational services that are ALF specific. Basic dementia training is offered free once a month for family caregivers in Richmond and surrounding areas
