Looking to make a difference in the lives of Henrico students this year?
Henrico HEROES is still looking for mentors, and it's hosting one more information session for anyone interested in volunteering. On Saturday, come to the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center (1440 N. Laburnum Ave.) from 9-11 a.m. and learn how just a little of your time each week can positively impact kids.

HCPS’ Bridge Builders Academy workshop series explores topics of interest to Henrico families, while building connections throughout our community. The series is open to all residents, regardless of whether they have students enrolled in the school division.
Students, staff and members of the public can participate in the two virtual sessions using Microsoft Teams. Each of the workshops in the series represents one of four “learning strands,” or categories. The learning strands are: Beyond the Classroom; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Exceptional Education; and Information, Access and Opportunities.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month, and HCPS wants to help families and caregivers diagnose and support students in need. 💜
Our Mental Health Matters: Family and Caregiver Workshop Series begins Wednesday with a program called "Signs of Su***de: What Parents and Caregivers Need to Know." This session will help you identify the signs and symptoms of depression and suicidality and how to approach care. You can attend from 6-7 p.m. at the Tuckahoe Area Library or virtually at www.hcps.info/MentalHealthMatters.
👉 Three more monthly workshops will be available to attend in person or online, each focusing on different mental health and wellness subjects and featuring professionals from HCPS and community organizations.
