New Year, New You and Your Team! Join us for Virginia Tech’s Introduction to Continuous Improvement – Lean Six Sigma and Business Process Management Certification course.
Registration is now open. This 2-week virtual course, starting Tuesday, February 13th, will feature engaging and informative sessions led by Ginny Youngblood. The course covers Six Sigma, Lean and Process Improvement methodologies and explores how these approaches complement one another. Several non-statistical tools will be taught in enough detail that participants can begin to apply them in their everyday work. Participants will learn about the Purpose, Process and People aspects of continuous improvement tools and approaches, about methods to look for process defects and about tools for improving teamwork. This program is targeted for both associates and managers who have an interest in understanding the basics of improvement methods to increase efficiency, expand revenue and other competitive advantages applying continuous improvement to their daily work.

In partnership with the Virginia Tech Myers-Lawson School of Construction and the Home Building Association of Richmond, invite you to the Fundamentals of Construction Project Management program. This 6-week course is held on Monday evenings starting, September 11th. To learn more and to register visit:

The course will consist of 1.5-hour sessions at the Virginia Tech Richmond Center or using the hybrid option, as well as, 3 hours of out-of-class assignments per week. The following topics will be presented starting September 11, 2023, and follow the below schedule:

Week 2 - Drawing Analysis and Intro to Quantity Take-offs

The course will be taught by Andrew McCoy, Ph.D. Dr. McCoy is the Preston and Catharine White Endowed Fellow and Associate Director of the Virginia Tech Myers-Lawson School of Construction (MLSoC) and Director of the Virginia Center for Housing Research (VCHR) at Virginia Tech. He is also Professor of Building Construction at the Virginia Tech Myers-Lawson School of Construction, a joint venture of the College of Engineering and the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.
