As a foundation, we do more than just provide additional funding for public education; we are innovators working in partnership with parents, teachers and administrators, continually identifying and developing initiatives that improve school performance and student achievement. Big things are happening at Glen Lea Elementary School, thanks to the power of HEF Greenlight awards (formerly known as LifeReady Solutions)!

In 2025, Glen Lea applied for funding to bring low-tech strategic games into classrooms, learning stations, and clubs across the school. The goal was simple but powerful: build students’ spatial reasoning, logical thinking, collaboration, and confidence.

And the results speak for themselves:

✅ 97% positive student feedback
✅ 100% classroom participation
✅ 42% improvement in collaborative problem-solving skills
✅ 35% growth in math fact fluency
✅ Teachers reported stronger cognitive endurance and more confidence during math.

This award impacted 455 students and teachers — and it would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors.
