Jacksonville boy dresses up as school security officer for 'Dress As Your Favorite Person Day' 5-year-old Easton wanted to dress as his school security officer Jefferey Cross because he says “he keeps me safe.”

It was an inspirational moment recently when Patty Griffin, our former education specialist for gifted education, was recognized posthumously as the Virginia Association for the Gifted’s Leader of the Year. Patty passed away in April of this year.

Chandra Floyd, Henrico gifted specialist, along with Patty’s family, accepted the award at the association’s conference in October.
