With over 40 years experience teaching children (beginning age 6), teens and adults, Michael Geddes teaches a solid foundation allowing for less frustration and faster progress. Students typically learn 15 pieces during the first year and can achieve any desired st
yle of playing. He has an average 2 to 7 year student retention and has taught hundreds of students. He understands that each person has a different learning style so he strives to find the best approach to keep them interested and motivated. He does this with a diversified method of teaching including: guitar instruction, vocal coaching, learning popular songs, music theory, and performance. Students are encouraged to perform a family recital at least once a year. He has composed and published “Modern Pieces For The Guitar” for his students which introduces new aspects of playing and offer a more contemporary feel than traditional method books.
