The Skipwith PTA engages parents and community members through many digital outlets, including http://www.skipwithpta.com. Communicating with the PTA through social media further enables customers to contact the PTA in a direct and meaningful way. The purpose of this page is to present issues of public interest related to the Skipwith PTA. We expect conversations to follow the rules of polite discourse and we ask that participants treat each other, as well as our members, with respect. Please be aware that when engaging with the Skipwith PTA over social media, you are agreeing to the following:
• Comments made by the public to these sites are reviewed and, while comments will not be edited by the board, a comment may be deleted if it violates the comment policy described here.
• Comments should be related to the posted topic for the PTA’s social media page or post. Skipwith PTA’s social media accounts are not meant for comments that do not directly relate to the purpose or topic of the social media web site. For general comments or communications concerning the PTA Board, please contact the Board’s President at [email protected].
• You are subject to the Terms of Service (TOS) of the host site. Information (photos, videos, etc.) you share with or post to official PTA pages is also subject to the TOS of the host site and may be used by the owners of the host site for their own purposes.
• Skipwith PTA’s social media accounts are not open to comments or promotion or advertisement of a business or commercial transaction.
• The use of obscene, threatening or harassing language is prohibited.
• Personal attacks of any kind or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, age, or religious group, gender, sexual orientation or disability status are prohibited.
• Comments advocating illegal activity or posting of material that violates copyrights or trademarks of others are prohibited.
• This comment policy is subject to amendment or modification at any time. Deletion of Content
Further, Skipwith PTA also reserves the right to delete comments that:
1. Include spam or links to other sites.
2. Are clearly off topic.
3. Advocate illegal activity.
4. Promote particular services, products or political organizations.
5. Infringe on copyrights or trademarks.
6. Reveal private/personal information (medical, financial, etc.). We recommend you not share any of your personal or medical information on our pages.
