🧡 Our Mahalo students enjoyed a wonderful donut breakfast from to start our Unity day! Then, all students got together with their houses to talk about what is means to be grateful & thought about all of the things & people they appreciate. We are so thankful for our TES community 🌋

📖 The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the TES Library! The Book Fair will be open on Monday 12/16 from 2:30-4:00 and Tuesday 12/17 from 2:30-6:00. This is a CASHLESS fair. We will not accept cash, but will accept credit/debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. See you there and bring on the book joy!
👟 Tomorrow, the TES Trekkers Running Club will run a 5k at 9:15 am on Belle Isle to support JR Tucker’s ROTC program. Good luck, runners!
📗 Getting students “Life Ready” takes a village. At TES, our students are at the center of all we do. Henrico County Public Schools created the Henrico Learner Profile (HLP) to model how it takes all of us to help our students reach their full potential. Look for more information this month!

👏🏼 Last week, our 5th graders had a visit from Career Ambassadors from ACE Center at Hermitage! They learned all about the opportunities available through the program, and heard from students participating in the Radio/Broadcasting and Cosmetology programs 📻✂️
🦃 The Tuckahoe Day Parade was a blast! Students showcased their creativity with their amazing floats again this year! We wish you all a happy Thanksgiving! See you in December!
🦁 What a wonderful morning at Tharros Unity Day! Tharros students gathered for a house breakfast hosted by our PTA, and we all discussed courage and crafted special cards and drawings for our community heroes!
💛 Tharros Unity Day is tomorrow! All students are encouraged to wear yellow! Students in Tharros are invited to attend a house breakfast in the cafeteria, and everyone will participate in an activity to honor local heroes in courageous professions. We are THARROS, hear us ROAR! 🦁
🦑 Our students were treated to a fun puppet show about friendship yesterday, “New Squid on the Block!” Thank you to Barefoot Puppets and the PTA SEATS committee!
⚽️ This Saturday Tuckahoe Elementary will be competing in a county wide soccer tournament. Our team has been practicing early in the morning for the past few weeks, and they are ready to represent TES! Be sure to wish the team good luck if you see them!
🇺🇸 Today, we honored our incredible veterans in two special assemblies! A huge thank you to Commander Abi Dryden for her inspiring words and to our talented music teacher, Mrs. Tyler, along with the 5th grade students for their heartfelt performance. Happy Veterans Day to the many friends and family who joined us and to those there in spirit! Thank you for your service!

🏀 Congratulations to the TES basketball team for a successful tournament this weekend! The team played great and did a wonderful job representing our school on and off the court! Way to go, Team Tuckahoe!
🎃 Fun times were had throughout the building today! Kindergarten had Pumpkin Stem Day, second graders used coding to complete a sequencing activity, fifth graders collaborated in their houses on a STEM challenge, and Mr. Sisson put on his panda costume for the kids! We hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween! Enjoy the long weekend! See you back on Wednesday!
