In Kindergarten students worked in collaborative groups to create animal species by classroom (mammals, amphibians, fish, birds, reptiles) using recycled materials. Students researched and presented their animals using Chatterpix. Today the kindergartners toured the entire zoo with their third grade buddies. This is a great example of project based learning!

Mrs. Conway’s class participated in the Henrico 4-H Duck Embryology program. They incubated the eggs for a month, taught younger grade levels all about the ducks, introduced the ducks to the entire school and fell in love with the science of life! They cared for their sweet ducklings, affectionately named Jellybean, Cheese and Quackers, Chicken, and Aflac. One student even made the ducklings a water slide! Thank you, Wyatt, for your love of learning and creativity! Henrico 4-H Henrico County Public Schools
