Kindergarteners reviewed relative location and positional words by coding String Cheese to different buildings around the town!
4th grade students using a dichotomous key to determine Jelly Belly jelly bean flavors.
Fourth Graders learned about colonial life yesterday during Colonial Day! They enjoyed “churning” butter, writing with quills and ink, playing pick up sticks, and making whirligigs.
Third graders did a great job of dressing up like a snowman during our spirit week!!!!!
It’s Three Little Pigs Day! 🐷 After testing the physical properties of various materials, first graders built a BETTER house for the first two little pigs! Students collaborated, built their houses, and then tested them against the big bad wolf 🐺
Congratulations to all of our spelling bee participants. Our overall winner is Henry from the 4th grade and our runner up is Elizabeth, also 4th grade. Way to go, Gators!!
The Henrico History Project is a district-wide initiative to empower 5th graders to explore the history of Henrico County. Each Gayton 5th grader completed a project that highlighted a person, place or event from Henrico’s past or present. One project was chosen from each school.
Gayton’s winner, Sebastian, took first place within the entire DISTRICT! Check out his amazing project of Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. We are so proud of you, Sebastian!
To conclude their social studies unit on American symbols, Kindergarteners created their own flags and shared what they would do as president! 🇺🇸 take a listen!
HUGE shoutout to everyone that donated cans to the Christmas Mother this year! Thank you for the amazing participation!! 3rd grade collected the most cans of any grade level, but the real winner are the people that these canned goods are going to help! Thank you again!!
