New England College Athletics Education The Contoocook River runs through the center of the village and alongside the campus. The area is surrounded by scenic hills and mountains.

New England College is nestled in an area abounding with natural beauty and is located in Henniker, a village of 4,000 residents just 90 minutes from Boston and 20 minutes from Concord, the state capital. We offer undergraduate, graduate and professional programs leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Education and Master of Science. New England College Athletic

s sponsors 19 varsity sports including; field hockey, cross country, golf, soccer, rugby, volleyball, basketball, ice hockey, skiing, wrestling, softball, baseball and lacrosse. NEC is an NCAA DIII institution and is currently a member of New England Collegiate Conference and the New England Hockey Conference.

Cross Country kicks off the 2026-27 athletics season with the Mayflower Kickoff!

The two-mile race will begin from the covered bridge right here on campus. The women set off at 4:00 PM, while the men follow at 4:30 PM.
