The MHMS cheerleaders are of to a great summer with an amazing week at camp. Bringing home 2 First Place trophies in overalls for Camp Dance Routine and Spirit Routine and 1 Second Place trophy in Cheer! Also, 3 girls were named as All-Americans and 3 were chosen for the prestigious Pin It Forward award.

Excellence in the community—11 MHMS students had artwork on display at the Sumner County administration building. Levi Johnson received a 3rd place nod for his submission!

The middle and high school Merrol Hyde track teams sent 16 students to the state meet in Knoxville. We had students competing in the 100m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, 4x400m, 4x800m, and the high jump. With these track students, every spring sport for Merrol Hyde had representation at the state championships!

The Hawks took over the school board meeting last night (in a good way). The state champion tennis teams, runner-up flag football team, the Station Camp wrestling team with several MHMS grapplers, and Jaylin Baxter speaking on The Hidden Opponent (mental health in athletes) were recognized for their excellence outside the classroom.

The middle school and high school quiz bowl teams were recognized for their great seasons tonight at the county commission meeting. Thank you to the chairman and commissioners for continuing to highlight student excellence all across our county.

Boys soccer punches their ticket to state! Go Hawks!!

A pair of state championships and a state runner-up….not a bad day to be a Hawk! The girls flag football team finished state runner-up in their first season! And girls tennis doubles and boys tennis doubles capped off their year with state titles!

The future is very bright (check out the neon and tie dye) with our elementary Hawks. We had our final Hawk Rally today celebrating character, service, leadership and some FUN!
