Our Criminal Justice students had an incredible opportunity to tour the Sumner County Jail this week and gain firsthand insight into correctional operations, inmate intake, facility security, and career pathways within the criminal justice system. Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life and give students a real-world perspective on the justice process.

A special thank you to the staff at the Sumner County Jail for their time, professionalism, and willingness to educate our students.
We also extend our gratitude to Martin’s Chicken & Waffles for opening up and providing a delicious lunch and helping make this field trip a success.

We appreciate our community partners who invest in our students and their futures! 👏

Today our Beech High School Criminal Justice students had an incredible opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the field! A huge thank you to Lt. Winslow, Deputy Nash, and Deputy Ghee from the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office for visiting our classes and leading an engaging Q&A session with our students.

They shared their experiences in law enforcement, answered student questions, and provided valuable insight into careers in the criminal justice field.

Students also had the chance to explore the ERT truck, SCSO motorcycle, and a patrol vehicle, giving them a hands-on look at the equipment used by deputies every day.

Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life and allow our students to connect what they learn in class to real-world careers.

We appreciate the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office for taking the time to invest in our students and support the Beech Criminal Justice program!
