Vibrate or tap over this point, Lung 1. It's the little indention below your collar bone.

💥This is why whiplash takes time to heal and recover.

The complexity and layering of these muscles allow for a wide range of motions and support for the head and neck.

Here’s a breakdown of the primary muscles found in the posterior aspect of the neck:

🪷Trapezius: This large, superficial muscle extends over the neck, shoulders, and back. It’s responsible for moving the scapula and supporting the arm.

🪷Splenius Capitis: Located beneath the trapezius, this muscle helps in rotating the head, bending it to the side, and extending the neck.

🪷 Splenius Cervicis: Similar to the splenius capitis, this muscle aids in neck rotation, lateral flexion, and extension.

🪷 Levator Scapulae: This muscle elevates the scapula and assists in bending the neck to the side.

🪷 Semispinalis Capitis: Part of the deeper layer of muscles, it extends the head and helps in its rotation.

🪷 Semispinalis Cervicis: This muscle extends and rotates the cervical spine.

🪷 Suboccipital muscles: This group includes four small muscles - the Re**us Capitis Posterior Major, Re**us Capitis Posterior Minor, Obliquus Capitis Superior, and Obliquus Capitis Inferior. These muscles are vital for head rotation and extension.

🪷 Erector Spinae Group: While primarily located in the back, this muscle group extends into the neck region. It includes the Iliocostalis, Longissimus, and Spinalis muscles, which aid in extending and rotating the neck.

🪷 Multifidus: This muscle is deep in the spine and works to stabilize the joints and maintain posture.
