Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

More than 160,000 troops crossed the English Channel in one of the largest military operations in history, changing the course of World War II and helping secure the freedoms many of us enjoy today.

As we honor the heroes of D-Day, let us never forget the extraordinary bravery of those who faced impossible odds, nor the countless men and women who gave their lives in defense of liberty.

Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

📢 NC - CCW Fee Reduction for Veterans – New Law Update!!
Senate Bill 118, the Military and Veteran Support Act, is now law as of July 9, 2025. This new law reduces the concealed handgun permit application fee to $45 and the renewal fee to $40 for veterans honorably discharged or under general honorable conditions.

Veterans must provide a DD-214 or similar proof of honorable discharge when applying.

This applies to all applications and renewals submitted on or after July 1, 2025.
