๐ŸŒŽ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Looking for stories that inspire action? Tune in to The World We Want!

What if the world we want isnโ€™t just something we imagineโ€”but something we can actively build together?

๐ŸŒฑ The World We Want is a podcast from our partners at the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), in partnership with GLOBIO. Each episode explores the people, ideas, and stories driving meaningful change through education.

From educators and community leaders to organizations creating solutions to some of our worldโ€™s biggest challenges, the podcast shares stories of curiosity, compassion, resilience, and actionโ€”and reminds us that a more just and sustainable future is possible when we work together.

๐ŸŽง Listen, get inspired, and discover what it takes to turn hope into action.

Because the world we want starts with the work we do today. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒŽ Creating inclusive environmental education starts with learning together. ๐ŸŒฟ

Join EENC for an online course designed to build a strong foundation in the language, concepts, and principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) for environmental educators and environmental professionals.

Whether you're new to equity work or looking to deepen your understanding, this course provides a welcoming space to reflect, learn, and grow alongside a community of peers.

Together, we'll explore:
๐Ÿค Effective communication for sensitive topics through group agreements and nonviolent communication.
๐Ÿ’ฌ A shared language for meaningful conversations about justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
๐ŸŒฑ The historical connections between the environmental movement and social justiceโ€”and how those histories continue to shape our work today.
๐Ÿง  How bias, stereotypes, and oppression influence our experiences and interactions.
โœจ The role of power, privilege, and microaggressions, and how to develop a personal action plan that supports more equitable and inclusive practices.

This course was developed through a collaborative partnership between the Center for Diversity and the Environment, EcoInclusive, Justice Outside, Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC), the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education, and the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education.

๐ŸŒฟ Learning is the first step toward creating more welcoming and inclusive spaces for everyone. Join us as we continue that journey together.
