Our Hendersonville Rotary Club Bike Winner this month is part of a great story! When her dad was in elementary school, he also won the bike as part of the same program 😃. The bike winner is chosen for great character, kindness, and for being a friend to all—what an example of how great our families are here at GWE!

Today we celebrated our Teacher and Support Staff of the Year—Tory Dickens and Blair Campbell!

Mrs. Dickens is an amazing Special Education teacher who goes above and beyond for her students—and for our school as a whole. She is patient and compassionate, and she makes sure that all her students recognize and achieve their potential!

Nurse Blair takes such great care of everyone in the building. From her famous “ice packs” (just a cold wet paper towel in a bag 😂), cures for sore throats and stomach aches, and her calm and compassion when serious things happen, she is the best School Nurse around!

We are so lucky to have these incredible people working with our students everyday, and grateful we could recognize them—and have their families join. A great day at GWE!
