Last week we wished Mrs. Susan Sears well in her retirement! 39 years, 2 states, 2 countries, multiple schools, and FOUR TIME WINNER of Teacher of the Year here in Sumner County. We were lucky enough to have her at GWE for the last 5 years, and everyone in our school community will miss her greatly--though she's promised to come visit from time to time. Anyone who knows her knows she is one in a million, and so deserving of this next chapter in her life. Congrats Mrs. Sears--it's been wonderful to have you as part of the neighborhood :)

¡La semana pasada le deseamos lo mejor a la Sra. Susan Sears en su jubilación! 39 años, 2 estados, 2 países, múltiples escuelas y CUATRO VECES ganadora del premio a la Maestra del Año aquí en el condado de Sumner. Tuvimos la suerte de contar con ella en GWE durante los últimos 5 años, y toda nuestra comunidad escolar la extrañará muchísimo, aunque nos ha prometido venir a visitarnos de vez en cuando. Cualquiera que la conozca sabe que es una persona única en un millón y que se merece plenamente este nuevo capítulo de su vida. ¡Felicidades, Sra. Sears! Ha sido maravilloso tenerla como parte de nuestro vecindario :).

We had a great time with our moms, aunts, grandmas, friends and everyone in between! So lucky to have this amazing community!

Field Day was a blast! We had beautiful weather, great times, and as always, we loved having all of our families here at GWE! Huge thanks to Ms. Chaffin for organizing such a great event!!

Thanks to everyone who helped provide Teacher Appreciation gifts and meals for our entire staff this week! And special thanks to Mrs. Morrison and Ms. Toney for organizing it all!
