CIL Enrichment

We have had a GREAT start to Enrichment Class this year! We just finished a 3 week unit on The FARM. We had so much fun learning about farm crops, pigs, and cows. The kids painted with corn, made messy pigs with chocolate pudding, made and played with “ Clean Mud”, tasted different flavors of milk, and “milked a cow”. We also participated in many other activities and games and worked on some new skills. We are looking forward to an exciting year with all the sweet kids!!

Today’s Enrichment class was all about 🦕 DINOSAURS 🦖!
The kids had a great time learning Dino facts, making cute Dino crafts, singing and dancing to Dinosaur songs, playing with different types of Dinosaur toys and manipulatives, and eating yummy Dino cookies. The favorite activity of the day was definitely getting to crack a “Dinosaur Egg”to find a surprise!

The theme for Enrichment class this week was PLANTS. The kids learned a song with motions about the parts of a plant, made several cute crafts, and even got to plant their own seeds. We also enjoyed our visit and lesson on dental health from Mrs. Dayna. It was a really fun day!

Today we learned all about SPRING. We participated in some fun center activities, made a couple cute crafts, and worked on a STEM Activity to “Keep the Bunny Out of the Garden”.

Today we celebrated EASTER!
We ate a yummy Bunny Trail Mix Snack, sang and learned motions to Easter songs, had an Easter Scavenger Hunt, graphed Jelly Beans, did a candy jar estimation activity, participated in a jelly bean bottle flipping experiment, did lots of Easter themed center activities, and made some cute Easter crafts.

Today we continued our SPRING unit by learning more about weather and the different types of storms. The kids participated in some fun activities, had a delicious cloud snack, made a cute craft, and loved watching the snowstorm in a jar experiment.

Today, we kicked off our spring unit by learning about WEATHER: clouds ⛅️🌧️☁️ and rain 🌧️💧.
The kids watched Mrs. Jenna complete a raincloud experiment after making their own predictions, made their own special clouds with paint, made rainclouds with different items, and learned all about the different types of clouds. 

Today was a great day learning all about BEES. The children participated in activities learning facts about bees, the lifecycle of bees, pollination, and about honey. We also had a yummy snack of HONEYCOMB cereal. 

Today, we learned all about 🐞 LADYBUGS 🐞! The children learned songs with motions, learned about the parts of an insect, learned about the lifecycle of a ladybug, and made some super cute ladybug crafts. 

We finished up our habitat unit learning all about the desert today. We enjoyed an experiment demonstration by Mrs. Lindsey, made awesome headbands, learned desert facts, and made a couple super cute crafts.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Enrichment class yesterday. We had some yummy snacks, played some fun games, danced to some Valentine songs, made some cute crafts, and had fun doing a candy heart floating experiment.
