At High Point Hybrid Tutorials, we partner with home school parents to support and provide an invaluable academic resource to fulfill their call to home school their child/
children. We intend for the students who complete our curriculum to be better equipped to face the challenges of today’s world. High Point Hybrid Tutorials recognize that God has ordained parents to be responsible for the academic and spiritual nurturing of their children. High Point Hybrid Tutorials assist homeschooling parents by partnering with them, providing support and encouragement.
2. Students attend classes two days a week. Experienced teachers present new subject matter and skills. Students participate with other students in lively discussions and activities. Our small classes are nurturing and encouraging for students of all levels.
3. Parents do not need to spend a lot of time selecting curriculum and organizing it for their school days. Parents can concentrate on their children, not on the organization of each day's work.
4. Students do assignments at home as directed by the teacher. All students receive an assignment sheet, so they know exactly what they need to do. Younger students will need help from their parents to complete their work, but many students are quite independent by fourth grade.
5. The curriculum integrates the following subjects: Bible, history, literature, composition, geography, grammar, study skills, logic, critical thinking, vocabulary development, and art appreciation. All classes are taught from a distinctly Christian perspective.
6. Parents do not stay with their children on class days. Many parents enjoy this day to spend time with younger children or plan for the week ahead.
7. Students are responsible to the teacher for their assignments. Most students find this more motivating than turning in work to their parents. Students learn important skills such as working independently, organizing their work, and turning assignments in on time.
