Big congrats to Sophie!! Ragtime marimba solo and (Cirone) Snare solo. She has worked so hard (and smart) and is becoming a fantastic percussionist! Thanks to Ryan Bond for judging and for the informative clinic afterward. Nevada Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble.

Congrats to Mira!!! Nevada Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble snare solo and jazz vibe solo=TWO Superior ratings. She is a hard worker and becoming a fantastic player!!
Last week we had a student audition for Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. Played a snare solo, a marimba solo, and killed it! Now we wait.
Nevada Solo & Ensemble coming up! We have two students playing 2 solos each! Cirone 13, Ragtime Marimba, Cirone 14 and Jazz Vibes! Good things are happening!

Lots of good stuff happening in the Studio today! Chord progressions, legato/staccato strokes, pedaling, inversions, 7-9-13 chords, sight-reading, ruffs, scale steps, tuning, ear-training, and…Jazz. 😊
