GVHS Band

Here are this year’s band camp spirit days! Everyone is highly encouraged to participate!!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the seniors and the band program at the Spring Banquet. Hope you enjoyed the performances from the GV and GJHS winter guards and all of the bands that performed at the concert. Congrats to David Reiner for getting to be the senior conductor, and congrats to everyone who won an award! See you next year!

Congratulations to the GV Winter Guard! On Saturday the team placed third in their division. Less than one point from first place, their finals run was the best one of the season. Throughout the season their scores went up 16.98 points. Congrats to the team for making their last run their best and for beating GV! Congrats to the seniors as well for making it to their last competition, as well as for their hard work and dedication in such an amazing program! The winter guard would like to thank Cara Froelich, Zack Deininger, Patrick Williams, Lydia Ruiz, and everyone who supported them and came to a show. Go Gators!

Just a reminder that there is a parent meeting tonight at 6pm in the band room. Hope to see you there!

This Saturday, March 30th, is the FINAL Winter Guard competition of the season! GV's Winter Guard is scheduled to perform at 1:15pm, but get there earlier if you're planning to come. The first school goes on at around 9am. There is an admissions fee and there are concessions available.

Just a reminder that tonight 6-8pm at GV there is a meeting for anyone interested in being part of the leadership team next school year. If you're interested at all, be sure to come! Get there early and bring paper and something to write with. Hope to see you there!

On April 2nd from 4:30 to 7 pm, the Scott Lang Leadership Seminar will be taking place at GVHS. This is another leadership event that everyone (especially those interested in becoming part of the leadership team for the upcoming school year) should attend.

On March 28th, from 6 to 8 pm, there is a New Leadership Clinic. This event is very eye-opening and even if you don't want to be part of leadership, you should come. However, if you are interested in trying to become part of the leadership team in band (section leaders, band board, drum majors) for the upcoming school year, then definitely mark your calendars for this event!
