100 students. 10 schools. 5 stations. 1 unforgettable day.

Our first ever workshop in Missouri just happened and the energy was UNREAL.

Jordan Burns at Nixa High School built this from the ground up. Students rotated through 5 hands-on broadcast stations all day. Camera Ops Bootcamp. Live Sports Simulation. Pre-Game Prep Lab. Broadcast Evaluation. A careers panel with college recruiters and industry pros.

No lectures. No slideshows. Just reps.

Students were calling camera shots, running switchers, directing live broadcasts, and finding roles they didn’t even know existed. Camera Ops Bootcamp was the clear fan favorite, but the directing station created some future leaders (a teacher’s words, not ours).

The best part? Teachers from across the region sat in the same room together for the first time. Sharing wins. Sharing struggles. Realizing they’re not building alone anymore.

This is what happens when you give students structure, real roles, and real reps. They step up.

100+ students. 40+ games. 2 weeks. Girls and Boys State Basketball at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Devaney Center in Lincoln, NE.

Camera operators, directors, announcers. Every one of them showing up with a role confirmed and a checklist done before tip-off.

That’s Broadcast Ops in action. Scheduling, role assignments, and training all in one place so students know exactly what to do before the broadcast starts.
