You’re about to meet Ms. Jessica. Proceed with caution.

She will probably seem sweet, friendly, and completely normal at first. Do not be fooled. She is actually a highly organized, slightly obsessive, “I’ll just handle it myself” force of nature. (Sticky notes, to-do notepad lists, & planners are used HOURLY. 😂)

She cares way too much about her preschool, her students, and their families. Like… way too much. She will remember tiny details about your child, notice when they’ve made progress, celebrate their accomplishments like they just won an Olympic medal, and genuinely lose sleep worrying about whether everyone is okay.

And beware: she is sentimental. She will get emotional over former students, teacher friendships, classroom donations, family events, old photos, and basically anything that reminds her how far Little Sunshine has come.

If you become her friend, coworker, parent, or student family… you’re probably family now. There is no escape. 😂

When you look at the first photo, what do you see? How does it make you feel? To most adults, it’s simply a house with a front yard, with no emotional connection.

Then, I was handed the second photo, a drawing by one of my 4-year-old students, and I saw our preschool through a completely different lens.

She didn’t draw a house. She drew her experience. My heart completely melted. 🥹🩷

She carefully included the grass, the flowers in the garden bed, the driveway, the gate, Ms. Jessica waiting at the front door, her family dropping her off, herself giving me a flower, and her friends. 🏡

She captured what she experiences each morning: a place filled with familiar faces, kindness, friendship, and a sense of belonging. A place where she feels safe, loved, happy, and excited to learn.

Moments like this are a beautiful reminder that children don’t remember every lesson we teach, but they always remember how we made them feel. There truly is no greater compliment than seeing Little Sunshine Academy through the eyes of a child. ❤️☀️

We are so grateful for the incredible support from our Little Sunshine Academy families! Our program is fully enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year.

We are especially excited to have so many of our students returning from last year! This also means we’ll have a large number of students graduating and heading off to kindergarten next fall. 🎓

If you’d like to be added to our waitlist, please contact Ms. Jessica. At this time, we are no longer scheduling tours while we are at full capacity.

Tours for the 2027–2028 school year will begin in January 2027. 👩‍🏫

✨ Over the last 10 years, our small preschool family has blossomed into hundreds of friendships and lifelong connections. My heart and soul goes into every student, every family, every day, and every school year. Sometimes it’s hard to believe this is my job because I simply get to spend my days teaching and loving the sweetest little kids.

When I first opened Little Sunshine Academy 10 years ago, I had one simple goal: to be the teacher I would want for my own child. Along the way, I discovered that you become so much more than a teacher, you become extended family.

As personal and intimate as these moments are, I wish I could capture the tender hugs, the happy tears, and the proud smiles shared between parents, myself, and their children as they graduate from Little Sunshine Academy. Those moments tell a story that words can hardly describe, the beautiful memories we’ve created together, the incredible growth each child has made, the confidence they’ve discovered within themselves, the friendships they’ve built, the academic foundation they’ve gained, and the leadership skills they’ve developed along the way.

Our families leave with so much more than preschool memories. They leave with lifelong friendships, mom friends, continued playdates, a strong support system, and a community that continues long after graduation. It’s never goodbye, instead, it’s always, “We’ll keep in touch.” And we truly do.

Just this past week, I received a photo of former students spending time together. They all met in my preschool five years ago. I also received an invitation to a special occasion from another former student from years ago. Even more special, I continue to stay in touch with families from my very first year of Little Sunshine.

Thank you to every family who has trusted me with your child over the past decade. Watching your children grow has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. 🩷 - Ms. Jessica

☀️ 10 Years of Summer Camp Magic! ☀️

What an incredible summer! 💛

This marks our 10th year of hosting summer camps, and we’re so thankful for another unforgettable season. Over 7 exciting themed weeks, we filled all the camps, welcomed countless mini campers, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

Each week brought a new adventure filled with hands-on learning, creative crafts, science experiments, sensory play, outdoor fun, music, laughter, and so many new friendships. Watching the children learn, explore, grow in confidence, and make lasting connections has been the highlight of our summer.

To every family who chose Little Sunshine Academy to be part of your child’s summer, thank you. Your trust, support, and enthusiasm mean the world to us. We are so grateful to have shared these special moments with your little ones. ❤️
