NAEMT Scholarship Information

The NAEMT Foundation works to strengthen and build a better future for EMS through funding EMS education and research. One of the challenges facing EMS today is recruitment and retention of EMS practitioners. In an effort to address this challenge, the NAEMT Foundation is offering scholarship opportunities to individuals interested in pursuing a career in EMS.
Applications are accepted between March 1 and April 30 (closes at midnight EST), and scholarships are awarded in June.

The following scholarships are available for individuals wishing to attend an EMS school or program to become certified as an EMT.

Amount of Award: up to $1,000, based on the cost of the EMS program and one-year NAEMT student membership.

It’s almost graduation time for our EMT students!
We ended up being able to support 3 individuals through EMT and 1 (not pictured) through advanced EMT certification. All members of Red Rock Search & Rescue and with the genorsity of Community Ambulance.

We will be providing the same 4 spots this year for our second annual Pinecone 5k Dash. Something we are very proud to be able to do and hoping to inspire some promising futures!

Thanks to our awesome Community partners at Mercy Air today for meeting up with our AEMT students!

Another room that we are proud of is our hospital room. This will allow students to practice transfers from a hospital bed to gurney, all with an interactive manikin. The room is fitted with a toilet bowl to simulate the ever so familiar “man down in between toilet bowl and wall” call along with a camera so students outside the room can see what’s happening inside. All to give our students as realistic as possible scenarios they will see in the real world.

Back in April last year we set out to convert a garage space into two brand new classrooms, 4 breakout rooms, a storage area and having an actual ambulance box installed in the space. Here are the results of the fully equipped ambulance and 2 cameras allowing students not inside to be able to see what is happening inside the ambulance! All this to create a more life-like experience for our students!
