Prairie View High School Counseling Department

North Elementary is looking for volunteers from now until April 18th from 5-7:30 pm. The hold a parenting class and need help with their children while the parents are in class. Dinner is provided. Check with Ms. Verdeal in the counseling office for information.
Also, The Elks Club in Brighton can use volunteers on Friday nights and Sunday mornings to serve food and clean up Contact Ms. Verdeal regarding this too.

REMINDER!! Community service is required to graduate. If you need hours, come to the counseling office for places to volunteer. Every student needs 5 hours for each year they are at PV. Please turn in your hours asap!!

Summer School Registration: Any PVHS student that failed a class and needs to recover the credit towards graduation requirements is encouraged to attend summer school. Students need to see their assigned counselor during lunch between April 13th and April 20th for information.

We have several new scholarships being offered to seniors!! Stop by the counseling office to check them out. Many are due in January. Apply, apply apply!!

City of Brighton is hosting their annual Festival of Lights on December 10th. They are needing volunteers to be elves. (Costume Provided) You will help carry banners in the parade and hand out candy and help with festival activities. You must sight up by November 23rd. All information is in the counseling office.

CSU Pueblo will be visiting PVHS on December 9th in the career center in the counseling office. Sign up on Naviance today!!

Ft. Hayes Stae University will be visiting PV on November 7th. This school is very popular and many of our students are interested. They will give you an overview of the school's admissions, financial aid, campus life and more. Sign up on Naviance if you are interested.

Community Service Hours: Turnberry Elementary is having their Fall Festivalon Friday, November 4th from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm. They are needing voluteers to help run games. Contact them at [email protected]

Henderson Elementary is hosting their annual Fall Festival and they need volunteers. It will be on October 28th.They have different activities and need lots of volunteers. You will need to sign up for the activity and time you are available to help. Come to the counseling office and Ms. Verdeal will provide you with the necessary information.

This is a great opportunity to get your volunteer hours!

Uniersity of Northern Colorado will be at PVHS on October 10th.
