Ok so its hot. There is no rule that says bad guys come out only in nice weather. You cannot afford to take 3 months off. The risk level is increasing every day. So because I don't much like training alone I have put together a summer program. You have to make a little sacrifice concerning scheduling.
EARLY MORNING - 6:30AM
EVENING - 6:30 PM
NIGHT CLASS - 7:00 PM

2 HOUR MODULES. $100 PERFORMANCE BASED PACE

Brand new to shooting or ready to challenge the Air Marshalls skill test. I will not waste your time.

These modules are skill builders. A program certification, at minimum, takes 3 hours. BUT everything you do is cumulative and logged and you can work up to the cert level you want.

The Night Class is on all steel with a segment using photo targets to train fast identification of shoot/no shoot.
Steel at night is FUN. Freehand tac light or attached. Personally I carry both. PRIORITY IS PROPER ID THAN ACCURACY - 0 TOLERANCE. Your key takeaway is you move immediately after revealing your location.

If you just want to warm up and take one of 4 skill (timed tests) to test your ability, thats great.

If you want me to help you select a handgun, help develop hand strength and basically do everything a new person needs I can do that and not make you feel insecure. I wasn't born with a gun in my hand either. And I have not forgotten that a well trained novice will come back and become a well trained defensive expert.

35 years training people in extreme disciplines and other than custom leather work on the side, training is all I do.

I have all the box store certifications, give one lecture and kiss the ring, but I also have one of the best training certifications. I have a couple hundred hours of focused instructor and range master training from some of the best shooters I knew at Front Sight. handgun, Carbine, Shotgun, Precision (sniper) Rifle to 1100 yards. each weapon system required a couple hundred hours before you were approved to teach 40 students and manage 4 other instructors. My biggest class was 65 shotgun students. If we meet I can tell you how I managed to train them all, stick to the curriculum timing, and get good surveys in 4 days. For now you can puzzle it out.

I try to avoid asking for favors so this is a stretch for me. Considering the dynamic shift in our culture, especially the bias in the rule of law, now, more than any time, with the exception of 1776 and 1812, we have to be prepared to deal with enemy combatants on our home soil. First priority is to get your head right. These people don't think like you. They don't deliberate before doing something and their agenda is extremely simple. Destroy the United States by any means.

As a regular citizen, perhaps with a family under your protection, if you do not have a firearm in the house at minimum, you are low hanging fruit. And it is not a matter of if, but when they will come for you. I don't need to sell by fear. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't need to. So that leaves only one motive, my fellow Americans will be killed or robbed or displaced if they do not get basic defensive fi****ms training, and that bothers me.

At this point you must disregard any liberal family members. Liberals have to be bleeding before they consider changing their habits. They live in the clouds and most have been smoking pot for 60 years. (a little to relax is ok and Im not being judgemental, but 60 years day in and day out softens areas that should remain hard.) Think of it as a food tenderizer for the predator, millions of whom are here already thanks to that wrinkled sack of manure in DC.

Ok, now the meat of the post. I have been a small weapons expert for nearly 30 years and I teach several weapon systems. I'm also retired, so my availability is 24/7.

I have an incredible spot in the desert to teach, so my overhead is negligible. I'll run a CCW class if you need one but for the most part, that class is a simple paper shuffling exercise. What lights me up is training people how to use their firearm, safe, fast and accurate. Fact, if you and the bad guy see each other you have 1.5 seconds to do something to save your life. Considering how most people drive at traffic intersections, without training the majority should simply complete their will.

NOW THE COMPLIMENTS. Everyone has a God given, ass kicking engine that wants to keep you alive. But that engine starts at a crossroad, one way goes to the most powerful shakes you have ever had resulting in death right after. The other way lights up your survival self. This side is mostly useless without training but you all have it. Not training is like being born a natural farmer but shopping for your food.

At my age I have embraced Clint Eastwood's philosophy, "that every man has got to know their limitations", and I know mine and embrace my strengths. One of my strengths relate to my love of teaching, not because I can't do, but because I can do. I never forget how I began and I have an eye for every trainee's individual highest and best talent. Whether it is speed, recognition, natural accuracy or selfless courage, I can identify it in no more than two sessions (2 hour modules). I develop a curriculum that sharpens the focus of that gift and at the same time develops the rest of the tools needed.

Summer is hot, duh. But the evening is very doable. So is the early morning. And when you reach advanced, the night shooting classes are incredible. I have steel and countless photo and testing targets. The night shoot is all steel.

I teach red dot, iron sights, laser or dead reckoning. As long as you are on target you can stand on your head for all I care. Stances are just a starting place for the novice. In the real you will never be in a perfect stance. So what's the trick. No secret to some, pulling the trigger without moving the sights off the point of aim. Easy to do for the first shot, harder for repeat shots , so we have grip development, trigger control, natural point of aim, how or when to shoot when moving.

Oh! About moving...you always move unless you see yourself as a fort or a slug. Standing still is a death sentence. If you have the luxury of picking your fight do so in your favor. If innocents are involved release maximum violence moving forward. Don't sell your life cheaply, let the other guy sell his life for some illusion of 40 sturgeons.

I will train anytime and the price is the same if you are one on one with me or in a class of 6, (my maximum). That means I can accept 12 and do two relays but I prefer giving six people as much of my attention as possible.

If you are new, I can help with selection, developing hand strength, regardless of age and I will treat every one of your questions with the seriousness that you deserve. I teach handgun, rifle, shotgun and long distance rifle (800-1000yds)

Basically, your half of the bargain is to ask me to help you. The rest is my responsibility. I don't sell fi****ms but I do have personal items that I offer to sell at times. I will never leave you lacking information on any aspect of fi****ms, use and care and storage, the laws, what bad guys are truly like, what weapons work for you. No question is a bad one. I will be a demanding task master but will never ask you to do something that you are not able to do. AND I WILL DEMONSTRATE EVERYTHING.

Levels of skill are attained by completing programs, Basic Handgun, Defensive Handgun, Advanced Handgun are all programs. Some like Basic is one 3 hour module, others like Advanced are 3-4 (3) hour modules. Nobody can learn these skills effectively enough to repeat on demand in a 4 day saturation. I should know, I was a Sr Range Master ( 3 firearm systems, knife, empty hands, rope and rappel) for Front Sight from 2000 to 2009, developed curriculum, authored manuals, directed martial arts and on site EMT-I. While I hold NRA and USCCA Instructor certs, the instructor training and range master training I received at Front Sight is so far ahead of the national agency training it's not even close.

I am approved by LV Metro PD for my proprietary CCW curriculum. I hold a PILB license, worked as a personal protection agent, bar host (bouncer) and have POST approval for my close quarter course, Pro Carry.
