So in my spare time I’m reimagining the archery mascots to look like the one I made for the Bulldogs. I’ll add them here as I finish them. Feel free to share them or use them to make decals for personal use or as your profile picture. I just request that you don’t monetize them and profit from them in any way as I am giving them to you to use for free and I am not profiting from my time on these.

For those that are considering the open practices in Evansville.

Good evening Bulldogs! I am coming to you from Washington DC this afternoon as we are wrapping up our America 250 roadtrip. Anyway, I just wanted to remind you about some stuff going on in June so you can stay prepared and have a head start on the upcoming school year and archery season! There will be open practice on Mondays and Wednesdays in June from 6-7 at the Chase Fulcher Archery Center. There will also be open practice in Evansville at New Tech Institute on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 (follow Ascend Archery on Facebook for more details), Coach Dan was gracious enough to extend an invitation to us in Henderson. And finally, I challenge all of the Bulldog archers to tackle as many books and AR points as they can this summer. How cool would it be to start the year off with all of your first 9 weeks AR goals already met so you can focus on other things, like archery! 😉 Hope you all are having a great summer! Feel free to drop a picture of what you’ve been up to so far this summer!

This is over in Evansville at New Tech Institute (the place we had our first and last tournaments last season). If you want some extra practice this summer head on over. You may even catch me and PJ over there sometime!

Summer Schedule!!!!! Starting June 1st - We will have the range open every Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting) We will run from 6:00pm to 7:30pm - If no one shows up by 6:30-6:45 we will pack up and call it a night - if you are coming but gonna be late message me and let me know.
This will be outdoors and there are no bathrooms available on site - please plan accordingly. Coach Dan will be available to work with archers in small groups or one on one - Please message ahead to confirm availability.
Finally - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THIS PAGE - if there is a cancelation due to weather it will be posted here and I will tag all followers. Please check FB before heading out.

Hello Bulldogs! Just wanted to put one more post out there to wrap up the season. I’m not sure if you picked up in the last post that I mentioned that Nationals was our last tournament, it just didn’t work out this year that we could go to the Championship in Daytona. It was an interesting season to say the least, full of ups and downs and a lot of things beyond our control. Despite that, there was tremendous growth this season and I’m very optimistic that next season will be even better. So prepare to go to State, Nationals and the Championship in Daytona next season. We will also try and put together Centershot teams for those events as well! It will again be myself and Blayne, and I’m hearing we might have two additional coaches helping out next season. So it will be familiar, but also very different next season. I will work this summer to get better organized and work with the coaches to get a plan together for next season so we can get started as quickly as we can, welcome our new incoming 6th graders and build around a pretty awesome core team. Bowling Green usually hosts a big tournament the first weekend of December, bullseye and 3D, so I’d like to be ready to go to that tournament and get our state qualifications over with for both events on our very first tournament! Anyway, thanks for an amazing season! It was an honor to be around such a great group of kids every week! I look forward to an even bigger and better season next year and hope to bring SMS Archery back to the winning they’ve been accustomed to in the past. Stay tuned to both the SMS Archery page and the Henderson County Archery Club page for information about anything happening this summer and for early information for next season. PJ has a very nice outdoor range setup in our backyard and I’ll post on here some days that we will be outside shooting if anyone wants to join us! Have a great summer and for those of you that will be shooting for 4H this summer we will see you out there!

Update: No practice this week, the archery center will be closed for the high school banquet and early voting. See you next year, if not sometime this summer!
