Student voices in action at VCEC! In Ms. Muturi’s ELA class, students explored how writers communicate ideas across cultural, historical, and personal perspectives—then used their own voices to share their thinking.

For their culminating presentations, students selected a mentor text, developed an analysis, and presented and defended their ideas using textual evidence. This work connected student ownership, global competence, and College and Career Readiness through critical thinking, perspective-taking, and effective communication.
