Join us Wednesday, August 26, at 6:15 p.m. for Meet the Lions, our annual community pep rally and celebration of Henderson students!

Meet the Lions and Lady Lions and their coaches, hear from the Henderson Lion Band and see performances from our cheerleaders, Lionettes and twirlers as we get ready for another exciting year.

And while you’re there, be sure to check out the vibrant new look of the field at Lion Stadium! 👀🔴🔵

✨2026 (last year) Yearbooks are HERE!! ✨

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS POST!

➡ Current Students, who PRE-ORDERED a yearbook, have RECEIVED THEIR BOOKS this morning!

➡ 2026 Graduates, who PRE-ORDERED (see list in pics), your books will be in the HHS Front Office to pick up starting at 8am TOMORROW (Tuesday, August 18th).
IF you have someone else (current student, parent, etc) pick up for you, we are NOT RESPONSIBLE for your book once we give it away. We are unable to track the book outside of the signature provided at pick up.

🌟 HENDERSON HIGH SCHOOL EARNS 89 in ACCOUNTABILITY RATING 🌟

If you see some smiling HHS teachers and administrators today, this ⬇⬇⬇ is the reason why!!! Our people locked arms over the past years to make changes and make HHS the place to be, and we are alllllllmost at our goal!

This time last year, our principal, Shannon Dickerson, met with Region 7 and asked, "What do we have to do to get HHS to an A?" She was told it would take a few years for us to get there... well, y'all... we almost made it in ONE YEAR!!

Here's the history of our ratings:
➡ 2024-2025: 82
➡ 2023-2024: 86
➡ 2022-2023: 79
➡ 2021-2022: 73

So... to say we are PROUD is an understatement! We are so proud of our staff and our STUDENTS!! They are continuing to learn + grow, meet goals, while also becoming pretty amazing humans.

❗️4th-5th Period Dual Credit: Meet in McCreary's office (rm 302) @ 10:40
❗️5th-6th or 5th-7th Dual Credit: Meet in Band Hall @ 11:30
❗️6th-7th or 6th-8th Dual Credit: Meet in Band Hall @ 1:00

👕🩳 HHS DRESS CODE UPDATES👗👚

We are gearing up for Wednesday, but wanted to let you know there have been a few adjustments on our dress code!

➡ No Hats. Like at all. As in don’t even bring them to school. They’ll be taken up even if you are carrying it.
➡ Hoodies. They are TOTALLY acceptable... as long as you don't cover your head!
➡ No PJ Pants. Save these for after school... nothing is better after a long day!
➡ No Slippers. Listen... if it rains, slippers are not fun.
➡ Spaghetti Strap Tanks are NOT acceptable. However, other tanks are!
➡ Throw out that 3" above the knee rule!!! (Hallelujah!) Just make sure your shorts or skirts are MID-THIGH. That goes for the holes in your jeans too.
➡ And... last but not least... make sure your clothing is modest and appropriate!

💙🤍❤️ 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR LOADING... STARTING THIS WEEK!! ❤️🤍💙

❤️ 10th - 12th graders can come up to HHS on their assigned days to get their schedule and purchase parking permits. Seniors can also get their painted parking spot approved on Tuesday!

💙 NEXT Thursday (August 6th), HHS Staff will host Meet the Teacher (4:30-6:30pm) in conjunction with the Freshmen/New Student Orientation (5:30-6:30pm)! Schedule pick up with available for all freshmen, and anyone else who didn't make it this week!
