Last week we had a very special day as we welcomed All Kids Bike and HDR Foundation for an incredible event that will make a lasting impact on our students for years to come. 🚲⭐️

Thanks to the generosity of HDR Foundation and the amazing mission behind All Kids Bike, Signature Preparatory received 24 bikes, helmets for students, and 2 bike storage racks to help launch this exciting new opportunity for our kindergarteners.

All four kindergarten classes — nearly 100 students total — had the chance to participate and begin their biking journey together. What makes this program so unique is the thoughtful 8-lesson curriculum designed to build confidence, balance, and coordination step-by-step. The bikes begin without pedals, allowing students to safely learn balance first before gradually progressing in skill level. Once they are ready, the pedals are added and students continue advancing toward independently riding a bike.

All Kids Bike’s mission says it best:
“Our mission is to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.”

We are incredibly grateful to All Kids Bike and HDR Foundation for investing in our students, promoting physical activity, building confidence, and creating unforgettable experiences for our school community. Learning to ride a bike is more than just a milestone — it teaches perseverance, courage, independence, and joy.
