🐻❤️💙 Join the Unified Bears Club! ❤️💙🐻

We are so excited to kick off our Unified Bears Club, in partnership with Special Olympics, at Hannah Marie Brown Elementary! 🎉

Unified Bears Club brings students of all abilities together through the mission of Special Olympics Unified Sports® to build friendships, practice teamwork, promote inclusion, and most importantly—HAVE FUN! 🤝🏀🎳

Students will participate in games, sports, movement activities, and other fun activities alongside their peers.

📅 First Meeting: Monday, August 31st
⏰ Time: 3:30–4:30 PM

📚🍎 APPLE CORE + Story & a Snack! 🍎📚

Brown Bear families, we are excited to kick off our APPLE CORE Reading Program!

Students will use their APPLE CORE bookmarks to track reading they complete outside of school. For every 15 minutes of reading, a parent/guardian should initial ¼ of an apple on the bookmark. Once the entire bookmark is completed, please sign the back and have your student bring it to school.

🥨📖 Our FIRST Story & a Snack is TOMORROW!

On A Days, students who have a completed and signed bookmark can join us for Story & a Snack! After morning announcements, participating students will come down to enjoy a special read-aloud and a small snack.

So, if your Brown Bear has finished their bookmark, make sure they bring it to school tomorrow! 🐻❤️

We can't wait to celebrate all of the reading our Brown Bears are doing! 📚🍎

🎪Calling All 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders! 🎪

Brown Bear CirKish is back! 🐻🤹‍♀️🎭

Does your child enjoy being active, trying new things, working with friends, and having fun? CirKish gives students the opportunity to explore circus-inspired activities while building confidence, creativity, teamwork, and social skills!

⭐ Only 25 spots are available!
⭐ Spots are first come, first served.
⭐ CirKish meets every Monday after school until 5:00 p.m.
⭐ Students will be provided with supper before participating.
⭐ The program begins Monday, August 31st.

📄 Interest forms are available from your child’s teacher and must be returned by Friday, August 21st.

If your child is interested, make sure they grab a form and return it as soon as possible!

The first PTA event of the year is Thursday, Aug 20. 6-7:30 in the MPR. Come join us for a fun family game night with lots of prizes!!

You can join the PTA now for free entry into all our events this year! We’ve put together a special membership raffle as well. Everyone who joins by Thursday night will be entered into a raffle on Friday morning for a squishy prize pack! (2 winners will be selected!)
