Our HS Girls volleyball team participated in the 9th Island Classic and went 6-1 this weekend and finished in 2nd place in the Gold Bracket. It was a long weekend of volleyball but also a very successful weekend. They play at Clark 5:30/6/30PM on Wednesday and return home to host Cristo Rey on Thursday with JV at 5PM and Varsity at 6PM.

Our high school and middle school cross country teams competed in the Labor Day Classic hosted by Palo Verde HS and the Summerlin Rotary. The middle school boys finished 5th as a team with Chance Highlen-Greer (13), Kodiak Gery (17) and McCoy Akers (25) medaling. In the boys 9-10 race, Hlib Sukhenko finished 6th. Henry Johnson (5) and Noah Henneman (20) medaled in the 11-12 grade boys race and Laurel Highlen-Greer finished in 10th in the girls 11-12 race with a medal. It was a great day for all of our athletes and a great way for our middle school students to kick off their season. Next up for high school is the Mustang Stampede in Needle, CA on September 12 and the Grade 3-8 team has their first NCSAA meet on September 14 at Floyd Lamb Park.
