Teacher Education Programs at Hofstra University Teacher Education Programs at Hofstra University is composed of Elementary Education, Secondary Education and Foundations in the School of Education.

Programs in TEP are structured upon a base of knowledge, informed by a set of beliefs, assumptions and values, and committed to goals of teaching skills and developing tools for reflective practice. The programs are designed to maximize opportunities for students to work closely with faculty members who are committed to excellence in teaching and leadership. TEP has a doctoral program to support students' need to individualize their advanced academic learning.
