Hempstead Elementary fourth-grade teacher Valarie Minor shows up each day with purpose, passion, and high expectations for her students.

By creating meaningful learning experiences, building strong relationships, and encouraging her students to believe in themselves, she is a big part in helping shape confident learners and future leaders in Hempstead ISD.

“Being Bold in the classroom means always showing up and giving your all every day,” Minor shared. “I set high expectations for every student and create learning experiences that challenge and inspire them. Being bold means moving beyond traditional methods when necessary and taking thoughtful risks to improve student learning.”

Saturday was a beautiful celebration for our Divine Diamonds as we gathered for their End-of-the-Year Banquet! It was the perfect way to close out the year by honoring and celebrating these amazing young ladies and all they have accomplished.

The girls had the opportunity to dress up, celebrate together, and truly shine like the diamonds they are! 💚🌟 We are so proud of their growth, leadership, confidence, and sisterhood throughout the year.
