Hemlock's Gray Matter

Hemlock's Gray Matter drove down to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital today to make a difference. The team dropped off 250 science-themed kits featuring paper Rollercoaster, paper rockets, paper airplanes, and catapults. These were designed to bring smiles and hands-on fun to children during their hospital stays. C.S. Mott holds a special place in the hearts of many of our team members, and we are proud to support their patients and families in any way that we can.

This week we held Gray Matter's first Leadership Summit. Thanks to everyone who attended. We had some laughs, did a little line dancing (reluctantly for some), and learned a little about our individual leadership styles.

Our annual summer partnership with the Hemlock Early Childcare Center has come to a close! This week, the children put their creativity to work by designing parachutes for toy soldiers and building straw mazes.

Thank you to the Hemlock Early Childcare Center for another amazing summer of STEM. We loved inspiring young minds through hands-on learning and can’t wait to do it all again next year. See you next summer! 💡

Gray Matter visited Pine Haven Assisted Living yesterday to teach residents about 3D printing. We also got to hang out with the llamas and alpacas. Lawerence the llama may be our new team mascot!!!

Another two weeks of summer STEM are in the books! It has been a blast welcoming the kids from the Hemlock Early Childcare Center to the STEM Center as they continue exploring new challenges and discovering how exciting engineering can be. We’re thankful to share our love of STEM with these young learners, and we can’t wait for more exciting activities throughout the rest of the summer!
